Effective: April 24, 2026
This addendum describes how Mega Tickets USA collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information specific to Organizers for the purposes of tax reporting (IRS Form 1099-K) and manual payouts.
In addition to the information described in the main Privacy Policy, we collect the following from Organizers:
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Tax identification | Legal name, business type, TIN (SSN or EIN), business address | Provided by the Organizer in the onboarding flow (Form W-9) |
| Payout method | Account holder name, bank name, routing number, account number, alternative handles (Zelle email/phone, PayPal email) | Provided by the Organizer when adding a Payout Method |
| Consent record | Date, time, IP address, and user agent of the Organizer Services Agreement signature | Captured automatically when the Organizer clicks "I Agree" |
| Transaction record | Gross volume, Service Fees retained, refunds, chargebacks, net Payouts, per tax year | Generated by the Service during ordinary operations |
Encryption at rest. Tax IDs (SSN/EIN) and bank account routing and account numbers are encrypted using AES-256 before being written to our database. The encryption key is held separately from the database and rotated on a documented schedule.
Encryption in transit. All data is transmitted over TLS 1.2 or higher.
Access controls. Only authorized Mega Tickets USA personnel with a job-related need may access decrypted tax or payout data. Each access event is logged in the audit trail.
Display masking. User interfaces display only the last four digits of tax IDs and account numbers. Full values are never returned to any client.
Audit trail. Every change to a Payout Method or tax record, and every administrative action on a Payout, is recorded with the actor, timestamp, IP address, and user agent.
We share tax and payout information only as follows:
We do not sell, rent, or license tax or payout information to any party.
Tax records are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years after the end of the tax year in which the transaction was reported, as required by IRS rules and as prudent for potential audits.
Payout method details are retained for a minimum of three (3) years after the method is deactivated or the Organizer's account is closed, to support chargeback defense and internal audit.
Consent records (Agreement signatures) are retained for the life of the Organizer's account and for seven (7) years thereafter.
Subject to the exceptions described in the main Privacy Policy, Organizers may:
